The Minster Shop
The Minster Shop
The Minster shop is situated next to the refectory in a purpose-built building opened by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Gloucester, in August 1996. The shop raises much needed funds for the Minster and is open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Saturday and from 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm on Sundays.
Items for sale include books, bibles, prayer books, cards, souvenirs and gifts, CDs, and religious articles such as crucifixes, communion wafers and wine. Books and other items can be ordered and sent by post. Tickets for many
Minster concerts are obtainable from the Minster shop.

Southwell Minster from the north-east
This limited edition print by local artist and former Minster layclerk Robert Morton is one of a number of prints and paintings by local artists displayed in the Minster Shop.
Cards
With an excellent selection of greetings cards and notelets, the shop specialises in prayer cards and cards with a religious text. Baptism, confirmation, first communion and ordination cards are all available.
Books
The shop has a wide selection of religious books and bibles for adults and children. The selection includes school and church resource books, a religious education section which embraces many other religions, and bible study groups. New titles from Church House, Canterbury Press, SPCK, Kevin Mayhew and Continuum are regularly displayed. Local interest books are also available including Minster and Southwell guide books. The shop offers 10% discount to churches and orders are welcomed with full book details.
Gifts
The Shop Manager is always looking for new and exciting gifts of good quality and price. These include jewellery, silver, pewter and stained glass gifts, glassware and other souvenirs of Southwell.
Music
A varied and changing selection of organ, choral, hymn and Taizé CDs is available together with music for relaxation and meditation. There is a good selection of hymn books and music for organ and other instruments.
Religious articles
A selection of crosses, crucifixes, rosaries, church candles are on display in the shop. Altar wine and communion wafers are kept in stock.
